No. For all courses, unless it is specified, you do not need to have prior psychological background to learn Orego courses.

Our courses are specifically designed to bridge the gap between clinical theory and practice by translating complex psychological concepts into plain, easy-to-understand language for everyone. It goes beyond pure psychoeducation to real skills impartation.

Flexibility is key to many learners. Depending on your work and caregiving circumstances, you can choose:

– Online Courses: These are fully self-paced with GenAI support. You can log in and learn anytime, anywhere, which suits your unstructured schedule.

Live Workshops: These are in-person sessions conducted by expert trainers that follow a specific schedule. You must attend at the set time to interact with the trainer and other participants.

From our early years in mid-2010, a key design distinction is that Orego courses, whether in-person or online, goes beyond theory to equip learners with practical skills. Role-plays, case studies, demonstrations and videos, journalling are all key aspects of our courses.

We prioritise real helping skills to academic knowledge and academic certifications.

Particularly for online courses, ours are very different from, say, Udemy and Coursera, in that our AI Assistant is tightly integrated to the e-Courses’ video lessons. We do not place OregoAI as a supplementary tool ‘in case’ learners wish to use it. OregoAI is an integral GenAI tool that is tightly integrated into the learning process.

We propose learners take a scaffording approach to our learning; Learners will watch the video lessons once through without using OregoAI. For the second round, learners will deepen their learning by revisiting the course by watching the videos and following the guiding AI prompts as indicated. For the final round, learners can ask prompts to OregoAI at will.

Certification

Do I get a certificate upon completion? Who will issue the certificate?

Yes, upon successful completion, learners will receive certifications as proof of skill competency and course completion.

All certificates will be issued by Orego.

Learners will receive 2 certificates for each completed course:
– Course Practitioner Certificate (e.g., ADHD Practitioner Certificate)
– Certificate of Completion (e.g., Supporting Students in ADHD Certificate of Completion)

There is no simple blanket answer.

Some employers are happy to recognise our certificates as proof of your skills competeny. Others will only recognise certificates issued by academic institutions. But the fact that even professional associations recognise our courses for CPD hours, and the Singapore Government approved and fund them, do instill much confidence in potential employers.

Live Workshop Overview

What is the format of the Live Workshops?

Our live workshops requires you to be present for a in-person class and conducted by a trainer who will be physically present too. You can ask any questions and expect answers immediately.

Our live workshops are designed to be highly interactive and experiential. Unlike typical lectures, we focus on hands-on practice, role-plays, demonstrations and case discussions to ensure you can apply the skills immediately.

Where are the workshops held?

For In-Person sessions, we are conveniently located at Havelock 2, just a short walk from Clarke Quay or Chinatown MRT stations.

For Virtual (Zoom) sessions, the meeting link will be emailed to you 1-3 days before the scheduled course date.

Yes, upon successful completion, learners will receive certifications as proof of skill competency and course completion.

Yes. The course materials will be sent to your email shortly before the workshop begins.

For live workshops, we provide light refreshments during tea breaks. We will inform learners in advance whether lunch is provided or not. But not to fret, our venue is surrounded by excellent dining options.

Do I need to create an account to make a purchase?

If you are an:

– International / Self-Paying learner: Yes. Please create an account first by clicking “Sign Up” on the main menu before purchasing a course.

Singapore learner tapping on Singapore Government funding: No. You do not need to create an account. Once your funding application is processed and approved, we will create an account for you and email you the login details.

These are the steps:

1. Log In: Once you have created an account and logged in, go to the “e-Course” tab and click on your desired course.

2. Select one of the payment methods:
a. Pay with Credit/Debit Card
b. Pay with SkillsFuture Credit fund
c. Pay with NTUC UTAP grant

For 2a and 2b, please wait for Orego staff to be in touch with you to issue you an invoice.

For 2c. Click “Proceed to Checkout” (or click the Shopping Cart icon at the top right).

3. Apply Voucher: In the cart section, if you have a Voucher Code, please enter and apply it before continuing to checkout.

4. Complete Payment: Fill in your billing information and credit card details to finalize the transaction.

We accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, UnionPay) via our secure payment gateway (Stripe).

For Singaporean learners applying for funding, we also support PayNow transfers. Please submit your Funding Application Form first, and our team will personally contact you with the payment details and guide you through the claims process.

Once logged in, the “Login/Sign Up” button on the main menu will change to display your Account Name. Click on your name to access your Dashboard, where all your enrolled courses and progress are listed.

Yes. To support your learning journey, you can download the trainer’s PowerPoint slides and other resources in the very first lesson section titled “Course Material”.

Yes, to avoid having to log in repeatedly, make sure to check the “Keep me signed in” option on the login screen, right below the password field when you try to log in to your e-Course account. That way, your session will remain active and ready to use for a longer period of time.

Don’t worry! Simply go to the Log In page and click on the “Forgot Password?” link. Enter the email address associated with your account, and we will email you a link to create a new password.

Note: If you don’t see the email in your inbox within a few minutes, please check your Spam or Junk folder.

1. Log in and go to your Dashboard (click your profile name at the top).
2. Click on Settings in the left menu.
3. Switch to the Password tab.
4. Enter your Current Password and your New Password.
5. Click the “Reset Password” button to save.

Note: Once updated, the system will automatically log you out. Please sign in again with your new password.

The “Download Certificate” button will appear on your course page only after you have completed 100% of the lessons, quizzes, and the AI Section. For a complete step-by-step guide on navigating the e-Course, you can download the user manual in the first lesson section titled “Course Material,” or you can download it directly (here).

No need to worry; you still have full access to all course materials (Videos & Documents) until your access period ends.

You can continue your studies as usual. Please remember to click ‘Mark as Complete’ after finishing each lesson. This feature bookmarks your progress, allowing you to pick up exactly where you left off and making your learning journey more efficient.

Yes, absolutely! You have full access to review the materials as long as your eCourse access period is still active.
To replay a lesson, simply go to your eCourse page and scroll down to the Course Content section. Click on the specific topic or lesson title you wish to review, and the material will load again.

Please don’t worry! Our automated system tracks your learning progress based on completed lessons, not just your logins. To ensure the system correctly records your active study time and to stop these automated reminders, please make sure to click the “Mark as Complete” button every time you finish reading or watching a lesson.

What are the technical requirements to access Orego e-Courses?

The Orego e-Course platform is designed for flexibility, accessible via both Mobile and Desktop devices. However, for the optimal learning experience, we highly recommend accessing it via a desktop/ laptop.

To ensure a smooth and uninterrupted learning journey, please refer to our recommended technical specifications below:

Internet Connection:
A stable connection of 25 Mbps or higher is recommended.

First, please ensure that your internet connection is stable and meets the minimum speed requirement of 25 Mbps. If you are connected via a VPN, please disconnect it and use another internet connection without a VPN.

If your connection is fast but the video still lags, this is often caused by accumulated browser cache and cookies, which prevent the video player from loading correctly.

First, ensure you are using the correct email address you used during login. If you forgot your password, click the “Forgot password?” link on the login page.

If you haven’t received the code within 1-2 minutes, please follow these steps:

  1. Check Spam/Junk Folder: Often, automated emails may land in these folders by mistake.

  2. Storage Space: Ensure your email inbox is not full.

  3. Server Delays & Patience: Occasionally, high server traffic may cause delivery delays. Please wait at least 3–5 minutes before requesting a new code.

    • Important: Requesting a new code instantly invalidates the previous one. If the delayed code arrives after you have requested a new one, it will no longer work. Please be patient to avoid this overlap.

  4. Check Spelling: Ensure there were no typos in your email address during login.

We use an invisible security system designed to distinguish between human users and automated spam bots. It works quietly in the background to protect your account. Sometimes, it inadvertently blocks genuine users due to flagged suspicious activity.

Here are a few quick ways to fix this:

  • Refresh the page: The security check expires if the login page is left open for too long. A quick page refresh will usually resolve this issue.

  • Type manually: If you are using an autofill tool, try typing your username and password manually instead.

Your data is stored for 3 months after your subscription ends. After that, all records are automatically purged. So, it will be a good practice to regularly download your chat history to avoid losing it once purged from our system.
