About Course
Imagine a young child who can think critically but unmanageable behaviourally. Or one who has excellent behaviour when learning but are unable to constructively manipulate information. Both cannot be called effective learners.
This course is designed to help early childhood educators and parents of young children aged 3 to 8 years old support their child’s learning by both motivating positive learning behaviour and teaching critical thinking skills. A seamless synthesis of both approaches has proven to work best.
It combines two notable approaches, Behavioural Theory and Mediated Learning Experience (MLE), into a eclectic practical approach, therefore complementing the insufficiency of the singular theory by itself. This synthesised approach is suitable for both neurotypical and neurodivergent children. You will gain strategies to make salient lesson contents and learn how to break tasks and design a lesson plan into manageable steps.
You will learn this new eclectic teaching approach by exploring the strength and weakness of the Behaviour Theory and MLE when used singularly. By watching a role-play of how the trainer uses the eclectic approach on a child, you will learn the mechanics and subtlety of using the approach.
OregoAI, our virtual AI Assistant will act as a virtual tutor supporting you through the learning journey.
