Biography

Mr. Nikki Tay has dedicated his career to Special Education since 1985. Holding a Master’s degree in Special Education from Birmingham University (UK), he is recognised as one of the pioneering practitioners of Feuerstein’s Thinking Method.

In 1995, Nikki and his colleagues established the Mediated Learning Experience (MLE) intervention centre in Singapore. Early in his career, he also contributed to the development of the Behavioural Management programme in collaboration with the National Council of Social Services (NCSS) in Singapore, implementing it at various early childhood centres such as PCS and YWCA. Additionally, he has lectured with the Association for Early Childhood Educators Singapore (AECES), YWCA, and other centres, where he has supported early childhood educators and promoted an inclusive classroom.

Nikki is also passionate about empowering parents with the skills and knowledge to work effectively with their children. Whether the child is neurotypical or neurodiverse, Nikki believes in developing him to his full potential.

Currently in private practice, Nikki travels across Asia to support centres and schools in their journey toward inclusion.

He is also pursuing certification in Somatic work to expand the services he offers to caregivers and adults managing stress and anxiety.
